VCF Academy Canada has recently completed a very special Training Experience at the Valencia CF Training Ground (Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF), where players and coaches had the opportunity to train, play matches, visit Mestalla, and share moments with Valencia CF first-team players and the VCF Women’s team, as well as with several VCF Academy players who are Canadian internationals.
A boys’ and a girls’ team from VCF Academy Canada travelled to Valencia last March to take part in the traditional Training Experience, involving 40 players and staff members from the Valencia CF Academy based in Montreal.
For one week, they were fully integrated into the daily routine of the Valencia CF Academy, taking part in pitch training sessions, specific goalkeeper training, video analysis sessions, and strength and conditioning work in the gym, all supervised by VCF Academy coaches.
“I think this is an excellent place to develop as a player. You have coaches with a great deal of experience in different aspects of the game, and coming to Valencia allows you to gain new knowledge that we can bring back to Canada. It is a great learning experience,” Savren concluded.
At the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF, they also had the chance to meet Santi del Río, a VCF Juvenil B player and Canadian U16 international, as well as Zahra Bains, a Canadian player in the VCF Women’s B team.

The Training Experience also included two visits to Mestalla, where they took part in the “Amunt Experience” on the pitch of LaLiga’s most historic stadium and supported Valencia CF in their victories against Osasuna and Deportivo Alavés.

Based in Rigaud, in the Montreal metropolitan area, VCF Academy Canada was founded in 2020 after several years of collaboration with Valencia CF through short-term development programs. Its goal is to provide Canadian players with the opportunity to grow as footballers and as individuals through continuous training based on the methodology and values of the VCF Academy.
Since its inception, the project has had the continuous presence of coaches from the VCF Academy, who lead and oversee the sporting development of all teams. In addition, it is the only VCF Academy with its own residential program, open to football players from across Canada and the United States.

The VCF Soccer Academies that the VCF Academy has in strategic markets across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, along with the VCF Soccer Camps, international partnerships, technical consultancy, and the VCF Academy World Cup, are all part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs that help expand the Valencia CF brand worldwide and what its colors represent.
The VCF Elite Camps, together with the VCF Camps, VCF Academies, technical partners, the Coaches Convention, clinics, and the Training Experience programs, are just some of the options that make up the VCF Academy Programs, which each year bring together more than 5,000 players from over 50 countries.
